GREENWOOD, Ind. (December 9, 2021) -- Junior Viridiana Vazquez Kloss (Veracruz, Mexico) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team has earned Academic All-America Third Team honors from College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced on Thursday afternoon.

To be eligible for selection, each student-athlete must own a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or higher, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and be a starter or significant contributor athletically. The Academic All-District and All-America teams are voted on by sports information directors in the district and nation, respectively.

It is the first career Academic All-America accolade for Kloss, who was an Academic All-District pick in November.

Kloss, an All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team selection, carries a perfect, 4.0 GPA as a business management major. She started all 17 games for the Ravens this fall and finished as the team’s fourth-leading scorer, with 11 points. Kloss scored four times to go with three assists and attempted 23 shots along the way.
