GREENWOOD, Ind. (November 15, 2021) -- Junior Viridiana Vazquez Kloss (Veracruz, Mexico) of the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team has earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced late last week. She was named to the Academic All-District I First Team and will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, as a result of her selection.

To be eligible for selection, each student-athlete must own a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or higher, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and be a starter or significant contributor athletically. The Academic All-District and All-America teams are voted on by sports information directors in the district and nation, respectively.

It is the first career Academic All-District accolade for Vazquez Kloss.

Vazquez Kloss, an All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team selection, carries a perfect, 4.0 GPA as a business management major. She started all 17 games for the Ravens this fall and finished as the team's fourth-leading scorer, with 11 points. Vazquez Kloss scored four times to go with three assists and attempted 23 shots along the way.

Academic All-America teams for women's soccer are slated to be announced on Dec. 9.
