Northeast-10 Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Report

MANSFIELD, Mass. (October 13, 2021) -- Freshman Eleonora Franco (Verona, Italy) of the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Oct. 10, as announced earlier this week by the league office. In addition, freshman Gabby Calidonio (Flagler Beach, Fla.) and junior Viridiana Vazquez Kloss (Veracruz, Mexico) were named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Franco played in only one of the team's two victories last week, but had herself a day in Saturday's 4-1 home win over New Haven. She attempted four shots, three of which found the back of the net, as she recorded her first collegiate hat trick. On the season, Franco is now third on the team in scoring, despite playing in just five games, as she has tallied 10 points on five goals.

Calidonio also only played in one game last week, as she made 10 saves against 11 shots to pick up the victory in Franklin Pierce's 3-1 win at Saint Anselm on Tuesday. On the season, she has made eight starts and collected 35 saves against 39 shots, to post an .897 save percentage, a 0.49 goals-against average and a 5-1-2 record.

Vazquez Kloss was part of a defensive unit which surrendered only a pair of goals in the two-win week. She also added an assist at Saint Anselm and attempted three shots on the week. On the season, Vazquez Kloss has started all 10 games for the Ravens and recorded eight points on three goals and two assists.

Franklin Pierce (6-2-2, 3-2-2 NE10) is back in action on Wednesday, for a 7 p.m. NE10 contest at Southern Connecticut State.
