Vieira Vieira has earned her third career All-Northeast-10 honor by landing on the First Team for the second straight year.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 4, 2014) – Senior back Gabriela Vieira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) has earned All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team honors for the second straight season and leads three All-Conference selections for the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office. Vieira is the lone Raven on the First Team, while sophomore midfielder Madison Finlay (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior forward Talita Pereira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) earned selection to the All-Northeast-10 Second Team. Freshman goalkeeper Casey Cook (Beverly, Mass.) landed on the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

Vieira earns All-Northeast-10 accolades for the third time in her decorated career, as she was selected to the First Team a year ago and to the Third Team in 2011. She caps her career having earned All-Conference accolades for every season she was able to play, missing out only in 2012, when her season was cut short due to injury after just four games. A stalwart in the backfield, Vieira captains a backline which has allowed the third-fewest goals in the Northeast-10 (0.74 per game), trailing only Adelphi (0.46) and Saint Rose (0.42). Not ordinarily concerned with offensive exploits, she had a special moment on Senior Day on Oct. 18 against Le Moyne, when she put away her only goal of the season.

Finlay earns her first career All-Northeast-10 selection after landing on the All-Rookie Team as a freshman a year ago. She has tallied at least a point in six of the team's last seven games (4-4-12) and currently sits ninth in the Northeast-10 in scoring with 17 points on five goals and seven assists. The surge of points of late has allowed Finlay to take over the team lead in scoring, while she is tied for second on the team in goals scored. Of her five goals, three have been game-winners, and she has attempted 35 shots (23 on goal) while starting all 16 games in the midfield for the Ravens.

Pereira is an All-Conference honoree for the third time, as she was named to the Second Team in 2012 and to the Third Team in 2011. Like Vieira, she has earned All-Northeast-10 accolades every season she has played, as Pereira missed all of 2013 due to injury. This fall, Pereira leads the team in goals, with six, which is good for a tie for ninth in the Northeast-10. She has added a pair of assists along the way to tally 14 points, which is third on the team and tied for 13th in the Conference. Of her six goals, four have been game-winners, and she has attempted a team-best 56 shots (30 on goal) while playing in all 16 games for the Ravens.

Cook has logged over 85% of the team's minutes in goal as a freshman and has not disappointed. With 14 starts under her belt, she holds a miniscule, 0.78 goals-against average and a .766 save percentage, while posting six shutouts and an 8-5-1 record. Cook ranks third in the Northeast-10 in goals-against average and is tied for fifth in shutouts. She opened her career with back-to-back shutouts and later put together a personal scoreless streak of 323:37 -- including three consecutive shutouts -- from Sept. 27 to Oct. 15.

The fifth-seeded Ravens (10-5-1, 8-5-1 Northeast-10) are in action this afternoon, as they visit fourth-seeded Southern Connecticut State in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Jess Dow Field in New Haven, Conn.
