RINDGE, N.H. (November 3, 2011) – Four Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer players were honored by the Northeast-10 on Thursday by being named to one of the all-conference teams. Seniors Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.) and Aya Noguchi (Tokyo, Japan) were named to the All-NE-10 second-team, while sophomores Gabriela Vieira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Talita Pereira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) were named to the third-team. Pereira was also placed on the all-rookie team for her efforts.

Panaro earned some form of an all-conference honor for the fourth-consecutive year. She earned second-team honors this season after scoring a team-high tying six goals and totaling 12 points, despite missing most of the last half of the season with a knee injury. Panaro was able to return and play limited minutes in her final collegiate match this past Saturday versus Adelphi. She started the match and then left the field to a standing ovation from friends and family in attendance. One of the more decorated players the program has featured over the past several seasons, Panaro earned first-team All-NE-10 honors last season, while also compiling All-America honors from Daktronics after she scored 20 goals and logged 44 points.

Noguchi earned second-team honors from the NE-10 for the second-consecutive season. She started all 16 matches she played in this season and was a steady contributor in the midfield for the Ravens.

Pereira earned third-team and all-rookie team honors from the league after tying for the team lead in goals with six. She also assisted on three goals and led the team with 15 points.

Vieira took home third-team honors after starting all 15 matches she played in this season. Vieira notched one assist for a point during the campaign. She was part of a defensive unit that helped produce six shutouts.
