RINDGE, N.H. (September 8,
2009) – Senior midfielder Gabriela Demoner
(Vitoria, Brazil) scored three goals, including the

Franklin Pierce opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Demoner
wound up with the ball at her feet in the middle of the penalty

first half and Franklin Pierce finished the half with an 8-6

down on the right side and found herself with a two-on-one down
low. She slotted a pass over to junior forward Angelika
Johansson (Falkenberg, Sweden), who knocked the ball into
an empty net for her fourth goal of the season. The goal also gave
Johansson 100 career points.
Just 2:44 later, Demoner would get her second goal of the game to
run the lead to 3-0. Freshman midfielder Courtney Weber
(Centerport, N.Y.) dug the ball out amidst a scramble in
front and fed it across to Demoner, who beat the keeper for her
10th goal of the season in just her fifth match. For Weber, the
assist marked her first career point.
Demoner would strike again in the 69th minute to complete her
second hat trick of the season. She took the ball on a run down the
middle off a feed from Johansson, went around the lone defender on
the right side and finished with a shot inside the left post to
push the Franklin Pierce lead to 4-0.
The Ravens capped the scoring with just 36 seconds to play as the
Southern New Hampshire defense broke down and the Ravens wound up
with three players and the ball behind the defense. Gikas slipped a
pass to senior midfielder Kelly Sisco (Hubbardston,
Mass.), who knocked the ball into the empty net for her
fourth goal of the season and create the 5-0 final.

up four goals on a 14-2 shots advantage which gave the Ravens a

shots, but took the loss 2-1-1 in front of the cage for Southern
New Hampshire.
