Freshman Jenna Mallico (Milford, Conn./Foran) netted the lone goal for Southern, off a feed from senior Gina Della Rose (Prospect, Conn./Woodland Regional).

Cilley opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, when she lofted a free kick from well outside the 18 for her first goal of the season. Johansson doubled Franklin Pierce's lead in the 35th minute, when she directed a rebound into the net for her team-leading 11th marker of the year.

Southern cut its deficit in half just 1:20 into the second half as Mallico netted her second goal of the year, off a pass from Della Rose. Franklin Pierce regained its two-goal cushion, when Bulych provided an insurance goal, assisted by Demoner.
