(May 20, 2004) – Franklin Pierce women’s soccer standouts Sonya Hughes (Balbriggan, Ireland) and Laura Hislop (Belfast, Northern Ireland) helped the Republic of Ireland claim a 1-1 draw with Romania, in Bucharest, before posting a 4-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina, in Sarajevo, in recent UEFA Women’s Championship qualifying action.
