HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Golden Knights of Saint Rose got on board first thanks to Katy McPeak on a cut inside and put the Golden Knights up 1-0.
  • The Ravens shrugged off the first goal from the Golden Knights when a little over a minute later, Olivia DeLonais (North Andover, Mass.) caught the ball in transition and stormed her way through and shot it low beating the Golden Knight goalie to tie the game at 1-1.
  • The Ravens scored again two minutes later when Emily Ulmer (Bedford, N.H) weaved her way through the defense and flushed in the second goal for the Ravens, giving them the lead 2-1.
  • Three minutes later, senior Kayli Hoefs (Amsterdam, N.Y.)  received the pass from DeLonais and rocketed it into the net extending the Raven lead to 3-1.
  • The Golden Knights answered late in the first quarter after goals from Kylee Payne and McPeak's second goal of the game to tie it up going into the second quarter 3-3.
  • The second quarter was all Ravens as two minutes into the quarter, as Maura Cogavin (Franklin, Mass.) fed Hayley Hermsdorf (Center Moriches, N.Y.) inside and she was able to score, breaking the tie 4-3.
  • Four minutes later, DeLonais rushed to the net through traffic and netted her second goal of the game making it 5-3.
  • Then four minutes later, Hoefs beat her defender and attacked the net and was able to finish the one on one with the Golden Knights goalie, extending the lead to 6-3.
  • The Ravens came out quick in the third quarter just 48 seconds into the quarter when Hermsdorf fed it to the cutting Cogavin who put it in the top of the net once again adding to the Raven lead 7-3.
  • The Golden Knights got one back with 3:46 left in the quarter as Lauren Pendergast squeaked one in for them to cut the lead down to 3.
  • The Ravens got that goal back as with 2:31 left in the quarter, as DeLonais gave it to Hermsdorf inside and she was able to pick up her second goal of the game bringing the lead back to 4.
  • The Golden Knights got one back in the fourth quarter at the 9:11 as McPeak picked up her second goal of the game, making it 8-5.
  • Five minutes later, Erin McIlroy (Newfields, N.H.) was able to net one for the Ravens giving them a four-goal lead of 9-5.
