Women’s Golf Opens Regional Play in Allendale
ALLENDALE, Mich. (5/5/25) – The Franklin Pierce women's golf team began NCAA East Regional play this morning at The Meadows Golf Course, hosted by Grand Valley State. After the opening round, the Ravens find themselves in 10th out of 18 teams.
Franklin Pierce posted a team score of 321 (+33) through 18 holes on the par-72 layout. Yiyou Chen led the Ravens with a 78 (+6), highlighted by a steady front nine score of 37 that included two birdies. She currently sits just outside the top 20 individually.
Lorelai Flanagan and Kesinee Prukmathakul each carded rounds of 80 (+8), showing strong play on the back nine to keep the Ravens in the hunt. Phisonlaya Ruayruen posted an 81 (+9), while Beatrice Dietz rounded out the lineup with an 82 (+10), tallying a front-nine 39 that kept her close early.
The Ravens will be back on the course for round two Tuesday morning, teeing off at 9:20 a.m. as they look to climb the leaderboard and stay in contention for a spot at Nationals. The top four (central), four (south), five (east) and five (west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.
