KEENE, N.H. (October 15, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University Women’s Golf team prepared themselves nicely for their upcoming tournament this weekend, as they won their one-day, 18-hole match against the Assumption College Greyhounds 307-426 at Bretwood Golf Course.

The Ravens were led by sophomores Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.), as both were able to shoot in the 70’s, with Morrison leading all golfers at 71 and Schmidt at 73. Freshman Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) had her best round of the year shooting an 80, while sophomore Anna Haynes (Hopedale, Mass.) shot an 83. Rounding out the Franklin Pierce lineup was freshman Shannon Slater (Stafford Springs, Conn.) who shot a 96 on the day.

For Assumption, they were led by Emily Gonsalves with a 94, while Ally Fillebrown was the other Greyhound under 100 with a 99. Casey Gurlitz and Jacey Copes rounded out Assumption participation as they each shot a 113 and 120, respectfully.

Franklin Pierce returns to the links this weekend, October 18 and 19, when they go back to Bretwood Golf Course as they play host to the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational.
