GOFFSTOWN, N.H. (April 24, 2015) – Freshman Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) shot an 82, putting her alone in second place on the individual leaderboard, as her score was the catalyst in helping the Franklin Pierce University Women's Golf team finish day one of the Northeast-10 Championships held at Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown, N.H.

The Ravens currently sit second behind Merrimack College, who shot 335 as a team, led by their ace Jessica Wagner. Wagner shot a round-best 76, finishing eight strokes ahead of Schmidt. As a team, the Ravens shot a 349, 14 strokes back of the lead. LeMoyne College sits in third, 14 points behind Franklin Pierce, while Southern New Hampshire sits fourth. Team scores were a combination of the top four finishers on each team for the round.

Behind Schmidt were freshman Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and Ashley Chubbuck (Windsor, Maine), as both finished in a tie for sixth with an 87 on the day. Freshman Anna Haynes (Hopedale, Mass.) finished tied for 13^th, carding a 93 on the day. The other Raven in action on the day was freshman Katy Lounsbery (Middletown, N.Y.), as she shot a 124 on the day.

The Ravens return to the links tomorrow for day two of the event, back at Stonebridge Country Club.
