Women’s Bowling makes varsity debut with 2-3 showing at Kutztown

READING, P.A. (October 18, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce women's bowling team made their program debut on Saturday afternoon, going 2-3 in five total matches at the Kutztown University Fall Baker.

The Ravens first faced off against New Jersey City, and collected a win by a score of 855-725. Their second matchup of the day saw them square off against Saint Peter's, where they lost 772-736. Their third game of the day came against Cheyney, as the Ravens came out with a W by a score of 800-665. The Ravens dropped their final two matches of the day, both to Adelphi and LIU Brooklyn by finals of 980-837 and 924-805.

In Baker format, a team bowls toward one score in a 10-frame game. In a five-person team, the first bowler will bowl frames one and six, second bowler bowls frame two and seven, and so on.
