Macary Tabbed As NE10 Rookie of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass. (11/28/22) – Just two weeks into her collegiate career, freshman center Sara Macary (Naugatuck, Conn.) collected the first round of weekly awards for Franklin Pierce women's basketball, receiving NE10 Rookie of the Week accolades following the announcement by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The award comes after a 1-0 week for the Ravens, where Macary knocked down a career-high 17-points versus Saint Michael's College last Wednesday, having now strung together consecutive 10-plus point performances. In the same contest, Macary added in five rebounds off the backboard, and additionally added in a single assist and steal.
Through the season, Macary has totaled 46 points scored all the while averaging 7.7 points per game so far. From the floor, she has shot 19-of-47 (40.4%), and raked in 20 total rebounds.
Women's basketball (3-3, 1-1 NE10) opens a home basketball double-header on Wednesday, November 30th at 5:30 p.m. versus in-conference opponent Le Moyne College at The Fieldhouse.
