Before Franklin Pierce: Four-year letterwinner at Bullard-Havens Technical High School (Conn.)...All-State selection as both a junior and a senior...Also a four-year letterwinner in basketball and a three-year letterwinner in track & field at Bullard-Havens...As a junior, qualified for the state championship in track & field in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay.
