Full All-CSFL Selections

Willette Willette earns his second consecutive selection to the All-CSFL First Team.

RINDGE, N.H. (December 9, 2014) – Sophomore linebacker James Willette (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) and junior defensive lineman Josh Tilton (Seymour, Conn.) have been named to the All-Collegiate Sprint Football League First Team, as announced Friday by the League office. In addition, junior tight end Michael Holdridge (Peru, N.Y.) and freshman running back Demitri Moreno (Alhambra, Calif.) have been selected to the All-CSFL Second Team.

Beyond the four All-League selections, five more Ravens earned All-CSFL Honorable Mention accolades: freshman offensive lineman Thomas Wall (Peterborough, N.H.), sophomore running back Andrew Jean (Irvington, N.J.), sophomore defensive back Brandon Knight (Bronx, N.Y.), junior defensive back Connor Rogowsky (Nashua, N.H.) and senior punter Derek Reddy (Natick, Mass.).

Willette earns his second-straight selection to the All-CSFL First Team, as he was also honored a year ago. He led the team in tackles in 2014, with 50, including 32 solo tackles across the team's seven games. Along the way, Willette recorded four tackles for loss totaling nine yards, one sack for a loss of one yard, one pass break-up and one forced fumble. He recorded 11 tackles in a game twice on the season, Oct. 18 at Mansfield (nine solo) and Oct. 25 against Navy (three solo).

Tilton also earns his second straight All-CSFL First Team honor, though he does so on the opposite side of the ball, as he earned the accolade as an offensive lineman in 2013. This fall, he recorded 25 tackles (12 solo), good for seventh on the team, despite not playing defense in the season-opener. Along the way, Tilton piled up 9.5 tackles for loss totaling 45 yards, six sacks for 32 yards, one forced fumble and one blocked kick. The 9.5 tackles for loss led the Franklin Pierce defense and included four tackles for a loss of 22 yards at Army on Sept. 26. Tilton's season high was six tackles in a game, which he recorded on three separate occasions.

Holdridge earns his second straight trip to the All-CSFL Second Team, earning the honor as a tight end this year after being selected as a wide receiver a year ago. He led the team with 19 receptions in 2014, which led to 246 yards receiving, double the yards of his closest teammate. Holdridge had two touchdown catches along the way, averaged 35.1 receiving yards per game and averaged 12.9 yards per catch. Three times on the season he recorded 50 or more receiving yards in a game, including three catches for 53 yards and a touchdown against Princeton on Oct. 3 and four catches for 50 yards and a score against Navy on Oct. 25.

Moreno, a newcomer to the Franklin Pierce backfield, earns All-CSFL Second Team honors as a freshman. His selection comes as a somewhat surprising one for the Ravens, as he finished third on his own team in rushing, behind Jean and Reddy. Moreno finished the campaign with 240 yards on 69 carries, while scoring a pair of touchdowns. His longest run of the season was 30 yards, and he averaged 3.5 yards per carry and 34.3 rushing yards per game. Along the way, Moreno added 80 receiving yards on 10 catches, good for eight yards per catch and 11.4 receiving yards per game.

Wall, a freshman, was the only Ravens offensive lineman honored by the League. He anchored an offensive line which led the team's fourth-ranked rushing attack, as Franklin Pierce finished with 142.9 rushing yards per game on the season. In addition, the Ravens were one of just three CSFL squads to total 1000 rushing yards -- a number they hit exactly -- and ranked second in the League in rushing touchdowns (14).

Jean was the leader of that 1000-yard rushing attack, as he finished his sophomore campaign with 487 rushing yards on 113 carries. He did so via a battle of attrition, as his longest run on the season was just 18 yards. Jean scored four rushing touchdowns along the way and averaged 4.3 yards per carry and 69.6 rushing yards per game (fifth in the CSFL). He added another 123 yards and a touchdown on 10 receptions out of the backfield to average 12.3 yards per catch and 17.6 receiving yards per game. Jean was the team's second-leading receiver, both in terms of receiving yards and receptions (tied with Moreno). His keynote address came in the team's 45-7 bludgeoning of Princeton on Oct. 3, when he carried the ball 40 times for 298 yards (7.45 yards per carry) and three touchdowns.

Knight, who spent time at both defensive back and wide receiver, earned All-CSFL Honorable Mention honors for his work in the defensive backfield. He ranked sixth on the team in tackles with 26 (20 solo). Along the way, Knight recorded one tackle for loss (three yards), broke up six passes and notched a pair of interceptions. His most proficient tackling performance came on Sept. 26 at Army, when he recorded eight stops (seven solo). Knight's interceptions came on Oct. 3 against Princeton and Oct. 25 against Navy.

Rogowsky earns his second straight All-CSFL Honorable Mention as a defensive back. He ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 29 (20 solo). Along the way, Rogowsky recorded 2.5 tackles for loss totaling seven yards, one sack for two yards and three pass break-ups. His highest tackle total was seven (four solo), which came on Oct. 25 against Navy.

Reddy, who earned All-CSFL Second Team honors as a defensive back a year ago, did a little bit of everything for the Ravens in 2014, but earns his Honorable Mention for his work as punter. He was called on to punt 35 times this fall (five times per game) and booted the ball 1,187 yards across those attempts, for an average of 33.9 yards per punt. Reddy's longest kick was 58 yards, he forced four fair catches and six times left the opposition inside its 20-yard line, while being blocked only once.

The Ravens finished the third campaign in program history at 3-4 to finish sixth in the eight-team CSFL.
