FOOTBALL FRIDAY: Video Preview of Saturday's Game vs. Cornell

Find out from the coaches and players their thoughts on the upcoming game

RINDGE, N.H. (September 21, 2012) -- Welcome to the first installment of Football Friday, which is a look inside Franklin Pierce Sprint Football as the Ravens get set for the upcoming week's game. This week the Ravens will play host to Cornell in the inaugural game in program history. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. at Arthur Hurd Field on the grounds of Oakmont Regional H.S. in Ashburnham, Mass.

This week, we catch up with head coach Peter Ewald, quarterback Tyler Mathews, running back D.J. MacDonald, defensive lineman Will Ellery and middle linebacker James Willette. We talked with all of them on a number of topics, including their excitement for the first game, if they are learning new positions in college, how the team has bonded over the first four weeks of practice and what it means to them to be the first football team in school history.

As the season moves on, we will go more in depth in X's and O's in the Football Friday feature, but for this week, it's a chance to get to know some of the names that you will hear called over the PA system this Saturday.
