2012 Sprint Football Fan Guide

Enjoying the game day experience

RINDGE, N.H. (September 17, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics and its Sprint Football team are excited for the upcoming 2012 season, which marks the inaugural campaign for the program. The season kicks off this Saturday, when the Ravens play host to Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) opponent Cornell at 12 p.m.

To help fans better enjoy their experience at Ravens home football games this season, the following Fan & Stadium Guide provides answers to several questions.

1. WHERE ARE FRANKLIN PIERCE'S HOME GAMES BEING PLAYED?
Franklin Pierce will play all three of its 2012 home games at Oakmont Regional H.S. and its accompanying football field (Arthur I. Hurd Field), which is located in Ashburnham, Mass. Ashburnham is located approximately 30 minutes from the Franklin Pierce campus in Rindge. For GPS purposes, the actual address of the high school is 9 Oakmont Drive, Ashburnham, MA 01430.

2. WHAT IS FRANKLIN PIERCE'S HOME SCHEDULE?
The Ravens will play three home games this season, including the season opener on Saturday, Sept. 22 vs. Cornell at 12 p.m. Franklin Pierce will also take on Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 30, also at 12 p.m. The Ravens will conclude their inaugural season on Saturday, Nov. 3, when they play host to Post at 4 p.m.

3. TICKETS & ADMISSION
Admission to all three of Franklin Pierce's home game is FREE. Fans will not need a ticket to gain entrance to the facility.

4. TAILGATING
Tailgating is permitted in the parking lot at Oakmont Regional H.S. However, alcohol, tobacco products, portable grills and glass bottles are strictly prohibited according to the policies and procedures of Oakmont Regional H.S. Fans are asked to adhere to these rules or they will be asked to leave the premises. Items that are allowed include sandwiches, plastic bottles and aluminum cans, coolers, ice, chips, paper plates, plastic utensils, etc. Fans are also asked to please bring garbage bags to properly dispose of their waste. 

5. REFRESHMENTS
The Oakmont Regional H.S. Booster Club will be running a refreshment stand at the field so that fans will have the opportunity to purchase food and drinks during the game. The concession stand is located underneath the pressbox behind the grandstand.

6. GATES OPEN & SEATING
Fans will be able to enter the field 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Seats will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a hillside situated next to the field and fans are allowed to bring lawn chairs and blankets into the facility if they would like to sit there instead of the stands. The grandstand seats approximately 350 fans, so fans are encouraged to arrive early if they would like to sit in the bleachers. There is limited seating on the side of the field, across from the grandstand.

7. PROGRAMS
Game programs, which feature rosters, stats and notes, will be made available to fans free of charge and can be picked up around various parts of the stadium.
