MANSFIELD, Mass. (4/24/23) – For the second time this season, junior Ashley Cangiano (North Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Northeast-10 Softball Player of the Week, per the official announcement by the league offices on Monday, April 24^th.

For Cangiano, it is her fifth weekly honor from the NE10 Conference in her career.

This past week, the Raven junior continued to smash new records with the program, becoming the all-time leader in single-season RBI as well as single-game RBI. In her single game performance, Cangiano racked up 8 RBI off two grand slams in a 15-8 win over Saint Anselm College, totaling 10 RBI through the five-game week. Cangiano also went 7-of-14 at the plate for a .500 batting average, and added in a .632 on-base percentage, and a 1.286 slugging percentage.

Defensively, Cangiano never missed a beat, and was a perfect 1.000% from the field with 8 putouts and 3 assists.

Softball enters the home stretch and prepares for matchups against Assumption University and American International in their final week of the 2023 regular season.
