Rowing’s Mary Quinn Earns CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award

Rising senior among over 500 honorees

CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honorees

Quinn RINDGE, N.H. (August 7, 2015) – Soon-to-be senior Mary Quinn (Erie, Pa.) of the Franklin Pierce University rowing team has been honored as a National Scholar-Athlete by the College Rowing Coaches Association, as announced earlier this summer.

To be eligible for the accolade, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, have rowed in a minimum of 75% of her team's spring races and be in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility.

Quinn and the Ravens saw several unprecedented heights for the program in 2014-15 under first-year head coach Dave DeIuliis, highlighted by putting a pair of boats through to the Grand Final at the New England Rowing Championships. Quinn served as the coxswain of the Second Varsity Four, which ultimately finished sixth at the event.
