Women's Rowing Caps 2014 Spring Season at Dad Vail Regatta

Ravens finish fifth out of five teams

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (May 10, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s rowing team capped its 2014 spring season over the weekend, as the Ravens entered a varsity eight boat into competition at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa.

The eight boat finished fifth out of five teams in its preliminary race in a time of 7:43.963. Nova Southeastern won the prelim event with a mark of 6:37.170.

Franklin Pierce’s eight boat consisted of Erika Hebert (Leominster, Mass.) as the coxswain, Nicole Rode (Thomaston, Conn.) at the stroke, Kirsten Salois (Pelham, N.H.) at the seven, Bridgit Connors (Milford, Conn.) at the six, Amelea Gray (Bozeman, Mont.) at the five, Leah Kaczanowicz (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) at the four, Madelene Morrill (Greenville, Pa.) at the three, Hayley Brown (Newbury, Mass.) at the two, and Mary Quinn (Erie, Pa.) at the bow.
