Women's Rowing Varsity-Eight Boat Finishes Third at NE-10 Cup

Varsity eight competes in the race with two other NE-10 schools

WORCESTER, Mass. (April 26, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s rowing team entered a varsity-eight boat in Saturday’s NE-10 Cup versus Merrimack and Assumption, and finished third with a time of 7:59.3. Merrimack won the race in a mark of 7:32.1 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.

The varsity-eight boat was comprised of Erika Hebert (Leominster, Mass.) as the coxswain, Nicole Rode (Thomaston, Conn.) at the stroke, Kirsten Salois (Pelham, N.H.) at the seven, Bridgit Connors (Milford, Conn.) at the six, Amelea Gray (Bozeman, Mont.) at the five, Leah Kaczanowicz (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) at the four, Madelene Morrill (Greenville, Pa.) at the three, Hayley Brown (Newbury, Mass.) at the two, and Mary Quinn (Erie, Pa.) at the bow.
