Women's Rowing Varsity Four Boat Finishes Third on Lake Quinsigamond

Ravens finish third in a time of 8:40.1

WORCESTER, Mass. (April 27, 2013) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's rowing team's varsity-four boat finished third out of three teams in a tri-race versus both Assumption and Merrimack on Saturday on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.

The Ravens finished in a time of 8:40.1, while Merrimack won the race with a mark of 8:12.5. Assumption was second in a time of 8:15.7.

Franklin Pierce's varsity-four boat included Jess Whittemore at the stroke, Leah Kaczanowicz (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) at the three, Natasha Pastor (Fitzwilliam, N.H.) at the two, Hayley Brown (Newbury, Mass.) at the bow and Erika Hebert (Leominster, Mass.) as the coxswain.

The Ravens will compete at the New England Rowing Championships next Saturday in Worcester, Mass., beginning at 8 a.m.
