Men's and Women's Rowing Competes at Head of the Fish; Weekend Highlighted by Men's Duo of Dan Forget and Tristan Pagliari

Teams conclude fall schedule

RESULTS

RINDGE, N.H. (October 31, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's rowing teams concluded their 2010 fall schedules this past weeked by competing in the Head of the Fish Regatta.

The weekend was highlighted by the men's collegiate pair team of Dan Forget (East Lyme, Conn.) and Tristan Pagliari (White Plains, N.Y.), as the duo finished second in their race in a time of 14:01.58. The duo, along with the other three groups that competed this weekend, squared off against some of the top rowing programs in the Northeast and in Canada.

The men's varsity four squad, which featured several competitors going through their first collegiate competition, finished 30th in a time of 17:06.34. The team consisted of Jackson Dean (Cohasset, Mass.) at the stroke, James MacIntyre (Ridgefield, Conn.) at the 3, Joe LaCava (West Hartford, Conn.) at the 2, Jonathan Spicer (Woburn, Mass.) at the bow and Zachary Goodman (Andover, Mass.) as the coxan.

Sophomore Patrick Ballantyne (Clifton Park, N.Y.) competed as an individual in the men's collegiate single race and placed fifth in a time of 17:25.44.

The women's varsity four made its season debut, as the squad also featured several competitors in their first collegiate competition. The team finished 28th in a time of 16:18.54 and was comprised of Mairecait Binienda (Worcester, Mass.) at the stroke, Erin Mallory (Agawam, Mass.) at the 3, Frangelica Odell (Natick, Mass.) at the 2, Morgan Miller (Kingston, N.Y.) at the bow and Shannon Dacey (Barrington, N.H.) as the coxan.
