Men's Rowing Places Third at River Hawk Series #1 this Past Weekend

Ravens turn in solid showing

WORCESTER, Mass. (April 11, 2011) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's rowing team competed in the River Hawk Series #1 Race this weekend at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The team put an entry into the men's varsity-four race and placed third in a time of 7:07.8. UMass-Lowell won the race in a time of 6:40.

The Ravens team consisted of Zach Goodman (Andover, Mass.) at the cox, Garrett Brandis (Peterborough, N.H.) at the stroke, Jackson Dean (Cohasset, Mass.) at the three, Tristan Pagliari (White Plains, N.Y.) at the two and Jonathan Spicer (Woburn, Mass.) at the bow.

The team returns to action this weekend with a race against UMass-Lowell at Lake Quinsigamond.
