Summa Earns NE10 Male Athlete of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

MANSFIELD, MASS. (9/19/23) – The Northeast-10 Conference released it's weekly honors Tuesday and for the second consecutive week, junior runner Wondu Summa (Burlington, VT.) earned Male Athlete of the Week.
On Sunday September, 17th, the Franklin Pierce cross country program hit the course at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Invitational. Summa finished first in the men's 8k race out of more than 300 runners from 39 schools. Summa finished with a time of 24:04 which breaks down to a pace of 4:48 per mile.
Last week, Summa received the same award after he placed runner up by just 1.4 seconds at Bryant University's Nassaney Invitational.
