Northeast-10 Cross Country Weekly Report

MANSFIELD, Mass. (October 19, 2022) -- Following its meet win over the weekend, the No. 28 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team has had a pair of student-athletes pick up weekly awards from the Northeast-10 Conference, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office. Junior Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) has been tabbed as NE10 Athlete of the Week, while freshman Declan Morgan (West Springfield, Mass.) has been selected as NE10 Rookie of the Week.

Summa posted his third straight individual meet victory on Saturday, as his 8k time of 24:17 paced a 48-runner field and led the Ravens to the team victory at the 10^th annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup. It was his career-best time at the 8k distance.

Meanwhile, Morgan came home 18^th at the Kirsh Cup, with a time of 28:06.

Summa, Morgan and the rest of the Ravens are back in action on Friday afternoon, as they travel to New Britain, Conn., for the CCSU Mini Meet.
