Connor Everidge Receives NE10 Sport Excellence Award for Men's Indoor Track & Field

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the 2022-23 winter athletics season, a group of seven student-athletes were bestowed with top honors from the Northeast-10 Conference as Sport Excellence Award winners on Thursday afternoon, which recognized their hard work and achievements from both the playing field and the classroom.

Per the official announcement by the league offices, senior thrower Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.) was named the recipient of the prestigious honor for men's indoor track and field, joining a list of 14 other all-time Ravens while becoming just the third individual from the indoor track program to do so. Additionally, Everidge is the second Pierce individual to receive the honor this year, following behind fellow Raven Bernardo Prego from men's soccer this past fall.

At the conclusion of the 2022-23 indoor season, Everidge was one of 14 program representatives bestowed with All-East Region honors from the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). At the Northeast-10 Conference Championship meet, Everidge broke the program record for the Men's Weight Throw, hitting a mark of 17.41-meters to finish as the runner-up in the event. Everidge currently maintains the program record for indoor Shot Put, which he set last February (15.57m).

From the classroom, Everidge majors in Elementary Education and holds a 3.91 cumulative GPA.

So far in the 2023 outdoor season, Everidge has been a frequent subject of discussion with two-consecutive record setting performances in the Men's Hammer Throw, which has recently earned him Track Athlete of the Week honors from the NE10 for the first time in his collegiate career. The season continues this coming weekend for Pierce at the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT.
