Everidge Tabbed as NE10's Field Athlete of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass (4/11/23) – Per the official announcement by the league offices on Tuesday afternoon, senior thrower Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.) was selected as the NE10 Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
For Everidge, it is his first time receiving weekly recognition from the Northeast-10 Conference.
Both sides of the Franklin Pierce outdoor program competed this past weekend at the single-day Fitchburg State-Jim Sheehan Memorial Track Meet, with Everidge standing out amongst all participants. On Saturday, Everidge broke a program record in the Men's Hammer Throw with a mark of 50.31 meters, passing a previously set record from the 2017 spring campaign.
His record-breaking performance is also currently the top mark in the Northeast-10 Conference, nearly a full meter further than the NE10's 2nd-ranked individual for the event.
Track & Field will split up for two meets this coming weekend, with the team's relay groups heading to the SNHU Penmen Relays on Saturday, April 15th. The remainder of the two squads will participate at the Bucknell Bison Classic in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend
