Errahili Claims New England High Jump Title, Indoor T&F Competes at NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. (2/3/23) – From a program standpoint, it was a phenomenal showing for members of the Franklin Pierce University Indoor Track & Field program at the 2023 NEICAAA Championships, as the Ravens finished the two-day event with twelve total All-New England award winners, a series of NCAA Provisional performances, a full-length list of new program records, and an individual New England Champion at the TRACK at New Balance.

All twelve of the All-New England award winners received the accolades as top-8 finishers in their respective events. The compiled list included top performances from senior Nyjah Young-Bey (Montclair, N.J.) in both the Women's 200-Meter (25.32) and 400-Meters (57.43), and junior Stephen Harris (Billerica, Mass.) in the Men's 200-Meter Dash (21.55), both reaching NCAA provisional standards. Also featured on the list were the members of both the Men's 4x800-Meter (7:44.32) and Distance Medley Relay (10:10.40) teams, which combined included senior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), and juniors Ryan Walker (Seabrook, N.H.), Nate Rinaldi (Bristol, Conn.),  Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda) and Evan McNeice (Wethersfield, Conn.). The finishing time in the 4x800 relay was the 5th fastest recorded indoor relay time in NCAA Division II history, per the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

In addition to the All-New England Honorees, the event also yielded a New England Champion for Franklin Pierce, as sophomore standout Nouhayla Errahili (Fez, Morroco) continued to set the bar higher with the victory in the Women's High Jump (1.70m). The victory made her the 13th individual in program history to claim a New England title, as well as the second consecutive individual to win the title in the Women's High Jump. Errahili's winning height was also good for NCAA provisional standards.

Other notable performances included a 5th fastest finishing time in program history for the Women's 4x800-Meter Relay, and an all-new program record in the Men's Weight Throw (16.61m) from senior Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.).
