Northeast-10 winter Academic All-Conference selections

EASTON, Mass. (June 16, 2019) – Sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) and junior Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team have earned Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the winter, indoor season, as announced earlier this spring by the Conference office.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must fulfill each of the following criteria: (1) participated in at least half of the team’s competitions as a starter or significant contributor, (2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), and (3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The teams are chosen by the vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives. In addition, one honoree in each sport is selected as the NE10’s Sport Excellence award winner in that sport.

It is the first career Academic All-Conference selection for both Arlabosse and Guay. With the Academic All-Conference selections for the spring, outdoor season due to be announced on Monday, both may be in contention for their second career honors in short order as well.

Arlabosse was the indoor NE10 champion in the 800 meters and was able to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event as well. He ultimately highlighted his indoor season with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, which earned him All-America First Team accolades. He was an All-East Region selection in the 800 meters as well.

Meanwhile, Guay was a medalist at the indoor NE10 Championships in the 400 meters, as he finished in third place. He also earned All-New England honors at the NEICAAA Championships, where he finished seventh in the 500 meters. Guay joined Arlabosse in collecting All-East Region accolades in the indoor season, as he was honored for his work in the 400 meters.
