Men's Tennis Has Two Take Home All-Conference Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Preston Gordon (Essex Junction, Vt.) and sophomore Ivan Bernal (Madrid, Spain) of the Franklin Pierce University men's tennis program were selected as recipients of NE10 All-Conference accolades. Both players were selected for their performances in singles competition, with Gordon receiving First Team honors competition, and Bernal taking home Second Team honors. The official All-Conference recipient list was released by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Over the past season, Gordon participated in every match for the Ravens, posting a 3-5 overall record for in-conference play, riding a three-match winning streak heading into the NE10 Championship Semifinal round. For Gordon, it is the third time in his collegiate career receiving All-Conference honors, having also won Third Team singles accolades for the 2018-19 season, as well as being named to the All-Rookie Team the same year.

In his second season, Bernal went 4-4 overall through eight total matches played. The sophomore sensation is now a four-time recipient of conference honors, previously taking home First Team All-Conference honors for third singles, Second Team All-Conference for second doubles and All-Rookie Team awards for the 2020-21 season.

The Ravens season came to an end upon entering Thursday's semifinal matchup with top seeded Le Moyne College in the NE10 Men's Tennis Championships as the #4 seed, finalizing the season with a 4-0 loss.
