WATERVILLE, Maine (March 10, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's tennis team was defeated by Colby, 9-0, on the road in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 5-3, while Colby opens its season at 1-0.

In singles play, Chong hooked up with Altmeyer again, with the latter putting together a 6-2, 6-3 win. At fifth singles, sophomore Matthew Toombs (Pleasanton, Calif.) took the first set from senior Shaw Speer in a tiebreak, 7-6 (3), but then retired.

The Ravens return to the court on Saturday, March 17, when they return home to host Stonehill in a Northeast-10 Conference match at noon.
