HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Despite dominating the first half and outshooting the Wildcats 12-1, the Ravens couldn't find the back of the net.

  • The game took an unexpected turn in the second half as freshman defender Jesse Oostendorp received a red card. He'll be ineligible for the Ravens season finale in NE-10 play at Bentley on Saturday.

  • Despite playing with only 10 men, the Ravens were able to respond. Sophomore midfielder Tiago Barriguinha (Alverca, Portugal) dished a pass on a corner kick to graduate defender Julen Martin (Bilbao, Spain) who buried a shot to break the ice and give the Ravens the 1-0 lead, a lead they would not relinquish. Martin's goal was his first as a Raven.
