SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (09/25/25) - The No. 2 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce Ravens men's soccer team couldn't hold on for the win on the road against the American International College Yellow Jackets, settling for another 1-1 draw in Northeast-10 conference play on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Ravens broke through in the 30th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Graduate midfielder Joao Araujo (Madeira, Portugal) sent a cross into the box, then junior forward Guillermo Avendaño (Luanco, Spain) flicked it with his back foot for the finish. The Ravens took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Yellow Jackets countered with a stunner in the 73rd minute. Leo Consoloni fed a pass to Thomas Lafayette and buried it in the right corner of the goal to level the game at one a piece. The Ravens were forced to settle with the 1-1 draw.
