RINDGE, N.H. (September 28, 2021) – Freshman Braudilio Rodrigues (Lisbon, Portugal) notched the lone goal to lift the No. 2 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Northeast-10 Conference opponent Le Moyne College on Tuesday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

The Ravens continue their perfect season with an 8-0-0 (4-0-0 NE10) record following the win. The Dolphins, meanwhile, fall to 4-2-0 (1-2-0 NE10) with the loss.

Franklin Pierce held possession for the majority of the first half controlling the pace of play and leading the shot chart 6-2 in the opening frame. It would take only two and a half minutes for the Ravens to find the back of the net, as Rodrigues forced a turnover at midfield and played the ball to teammates before making a run to the Le Moyne box. Graduate student Jonas Cervera Anchel (Chiva, Spain) held the ball on the left side of the field before sending a cross it high into the box for Rodrigues. Rodrigues headed the ball, redirecting it into the top right of the cage for his fourth goal of the season.

The remainder of the first half and all of the second saw both teams unable to find the back of the net. In the second half, the Dolphins outshot the Ravens, 3-0, but Franklin Pierce still edged out Le Moyne, 6-5, in total shots.

Junior goalkeeper Kosta Maniatis (Montreal, Quebec) stopped both shots on goal for the Dolphins to earn his team-leading sixth win and shutout of the season, improving to 6-0-0 overall. Le Moyne's goalie Josh Mahr allowed in the only shot on target, falling to 4-2-0 on the season.

Franklin Pierce will be back in action on the road Saturday, October 2 in Worcester, Mass., to take on Assumption College in an NE-10 Conference matchup.
