RINDGE, N.H. (June 4, 2021) – No. 2 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University men's soccer players Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) and Carlos Ferrando Felis (Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain) have been chosen to the 2021 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) it was announced Thursday afternoon.

For Felber, it was his third straight Academic All-District honor and for Felis, it was his first. Because of their selections, they will both move onto the Academic All-America ballot which the results will be revealed in July. In 2019, his first year of eligibility, Felber was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team and he followed that up with a First Team selection in 2020.

To be eligible for selection, each student-athlete must own a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or higher, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and be a starter or significant contributor athletically. The Academic All-District and All-America teams are voted on by sports information directors in the district and nation, respectively.

Felber, a graduate management major had a 3.96 GPA. He played in three games for the Ravens this spring amassing one goal off three total shots. Felis, a graduate health science major excelled in the classroom with a 3.98 GPA. The defensive stalwart solidified the backline once again as Pierce allowed only two goals in their three games.
