Felber, Laudahn Chosen to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 4, 2019) – For the second straight year Franklin Pierce University men's soccer junior Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) has been named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Men's Soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Felber was joined by first time honoree Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) giving the Ravens two Academic All-America Players during a single season for the first time in program history.

To be eligible for selection, each student-athlete must own a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average or higher, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and be a starter or significant contributor athletically. The Academic All-District and All-America teams are voted on by sports information directors in the district and nation, respectively.

Felber, a Second Team selection in 2018 is one of three First Team forwards this year. The two-time NE10 Player of the Week is a junior management major with a 3.98 GPA. He appeared in 17 games for the Ravens scoring seven goals, matching a career-high in assists (3) and tallying 17 total points. His signature moment of the season was a two-goal, one assist effort in the Ravens' drubbing of previously no. 2 ranked Adelphi University on Saturday, November 2nd.

Laudahn, an Academic All-America Third Team midfielder has appeared in 17 games for the crimson and grey making 16 starts. The D2CCA All-East Region Second Team player has set a new personal-best in assists (5), which ranks third on the team and he has tied his career-high with seven points. In the classroom, the senior business management major sports a 3.97 GPA.

The no. 18 nationally-ranked Ravens (14-3-2) play Post University (16-3-3) tomorrow in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Super Regional 1 – Third Round tomorrow at Gannon University with kick-off set for 10:00 a.m.
