Ravens Celebrate Senior Day, Fall to No. 5 Adelphi in Season Finale

RINDGE, N.H. (4/19/25) – On a day dedicated to honoring its senior class, the Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team squared off against nationally ranked Adelphi University at Sodexo Field. Despite an early goal from the Ravens, the Panthers controlled the contest from start to finish and came away with a 22-1 victory in Northeast-10 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Ravens answered, as freshman attackman Aidan Gibbons (Billerica, Mass.) found the back of the net just 7:08 into the contest off a pass from Curtis Nelson (Gilford, N.H.), putting Franklin Pierce on the board after an early Adelphi surge. 

  • Despite the early response from the Ravens, Adelphi went on a blistering first-quarter run, scoring eight goals in under nine minutes to take an 8-1 lead into the second quarter. 

  • Adelphi continued their offensive explosion in the second frame, netting ten more goals—including four from Noah Gibson—to stretch the lead to 18-1 at halftime. 

  • The Panthers added two more goals in the third quarter and another two in the fourth to bring their total to 22.  

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:  

  • The Panthers outshot the Ravens 52-22. 

  • The Ravens went 0-0 on the man-up, while the Panthers converted 1-of-2 opportunities. 

  • Franklin Pierce won 11 face-offs, compared to 16 for Adelphi. 

  • The Ravens committed 24 turnovers, while the Panthers turned it over 13 times. 

  • Franklin Pierce picked up 17 ground balls, while Adelphi collected 31. 

  • Senior goalkeeper Mike Masterpolo (Kingston, Mass.) suffered the loss in net for the Ravens but made an impressive 14 saves between the pipes. 

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: With the conclusion of Saturday's contest, the Ravens wrap up their 2025 campaign. As they head into the offseason, the program looks ahead with optimism, continuing to build and develop toward a stronger showing in 2026.
