Men's Lacrosse: Ravens Shut Down by No.13 Nationally Ranked Bentley Falcons, 16-2

WALTHAM, MASS. (4/6/2024) – The no. 13 nationally ranked Bentley Falcons put together a dominant game on both sides of the ball Saturday afternoon, shutting down the Franklin Pierce University Ravens, 16-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Falcons got off to a fast start in the 1st quarter, scoring 3 goals from Ryan Gerety, David Gagnon, and Jake Calabro to take the 3-0 lead
- In the 2nd quarter, the Falcons picked up right where they left off with a goal from Conor Segreti to put them up 4-0. Andy DeMattio (North Attleboro, Mass.) broke the ice for the Ravens after he ripped a shot that went bar-down from about 25 yards. The rest of the 2nd quarter didn't treat the Ravens kindly, as Devin Smith scored 2 goals and Brady Glass scored one for the Falcons. Heading into halftime, the Falcons held a commanding 7-1 lead.
- The Falcons continued to dominate in the 3rd quarter. Conor Segreti and Nicholas Thorn-Guill each scored on the man-up, combined with goals from David Gagnon and Tate Fitzmaurice to make it 11-1.
- After 3 more goals from the Falcons to begin the 4th quarter, the Ravens finally found the back of the net. Conor Rooney (Wilmington, Mass.) intercepted a pass and zipped a shot from almost 30 yards out, to make it a 14-2. The Falcons added 2 more goals towards the end of the quarter, giving them the dominant 16-2 victory over the Ravens.
