Men's Lacrosse Defender Kyle Fortier Receives All-Conference Recognition

Mansfield, Mass. (4/3/22) – The Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) men's lacrosse postseason honors were announced on Tuesday afternoon, with a single member of the Franklin Pierce squad receiving honors for the 2022 season.

As the lone recipient, graduate defender Kyle Fortier (Derry, N.H.) rounds out his collegiate career with Third Team All-Conference accolades. It marks the second time Fortier has received the third team honors during his time with Franklin Pierce, after earning the same honors following his performance last season (2020-21).

Throughout past season, Fortier served as one of the team's captains and was a key component to the Ravens' game on a nightly basis, starting in each of the Raven's 13 games. Through that stretch, Fortier collected 27 total ground balls with 13 caused turnovers, adding in an assist in their second contest of the season at Post University on March 11th. In his fifth season, Fortier set a new personal single-game record in ground balls, fetching seven total in a matchup with Bentley University on March 26th.

Franklin Pierce concluded their 2022 campaign narrowly missing the NE10 Tournament with a 6-7 overall record, but made some history with the strongest start to a season in program history after winning six out of their first seven matchups.
