Jason Flanigan netted a career-high six goals on Saturday at American International.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 22, 2008) - Junior Jason Flanigan (Shrewsbury, Mass./ Shrewsbury) became the second Raven to score six goals in a game this season to lead the Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team to a 13-6 victory over American International College in the Ravens' Northeast-10 Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at John Horner Miller Field.

Flanigan led all scorers with his six goals, which surpassed his previous career high of four set last season against Norwich University. Sophomore teammate Lucas Hamory (Canton, Mass./ Canton) continued his hot play, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist for his third consecutive multi-goal game. Freshman Jack Scanlan (Great Neck, N.Y./Great Neck North) also scored once and recorded three assists for a four-point afternoon.

Freshman Aaron McNab (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) was the lone Yellow Jackets player to find the net more than once, as he scored three times and had an assist for a team-high four points. Classmate Dan MacIsaac (Port Perry, Ontario/Port Perry) also had a goal and an assist for AIC.

Raven freshman Shea Campbell (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) played well in net to earn the first victory of his collegiate career, as he stopped 17-of-23 shots in leading Franklin Pierce to the win. Freshman Mark Taylor (North Andover, Mass./North Andover) made eight saves for American International to take the loss.

Franklin Pierce came out strong to begin the day, as four different players scored in the first 6:07 to put the Ravens out in front early, 4-0. Hamory began the scoring 1:54 into the contest with an unassisted tally. AIC scored twice to halve the deficit at the end of one quarter, but the visitors put another four-spot on the board in the second quarter, as four different Ravens once again found the net. Hamory's second of the day 6:17 into the period proved to be the game-winning score, while a goal by junior Ryan Boller (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) with 2:52 left in the second frame put the Ravens up, 8-4, after two.

Flanigan nearly single-handedly put the game away in the last 30 minutes of play, as he scored four of the Ravens' last five goals to extend the lead. Two of those four goals came while Franklin Pierce played a man-up, and on the afternoon the junior notched three of his six tallies while his team held the man advantage. Sophomore Devon Dupuis (Lynn, Mass./Lynn Classical) also had a goal for the Ravens late in the fourth quarter, his first goal of the season.

Franklin Pierce (2-2, 1-0 NE-10) completes its season-opening five-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon, as the Ravens travel to Colchester, Vt., for a conference contest against Saint Michael's College at 3:30 p.m. American International (1-2, 0-2 NE-10) will travel to Bryant College for a 7 p.m. matchup on Wednesday night.
