Franklin Pierce Drops 13-10 Decision to AIC

Kean tallies six goals and two assists to lead Yellow Jackets

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (April 25, 2002) - The Franklin Pierce men's lacrosse team suffered a 13-10 decision to American International College in Northeast-10 Conference action in Springfield, Mass. this afternoon.

AIC was led by Justin Kean who netted six markers and dished two assists. Michael Tercyak recorded five goals, while Steve Mullett registered two goals for the Yellow Jackets.

Jake Holmes (Freeport, Maine/Freeport) led the Ravens with three goals, while Ken Beaudette (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire), Dean Patty (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) and Andy McEntee (Manhassett, N.Y./Manhassett) each added a goal and two helpers.

McEntee opened up the scoring in the first quarter to give the Ravens the 1-0 lead, but Kean and Tercyak countered scoring four straight goals to pull ahead 4-1. Tercyak tacked on two more goals by the end of the first to give AIC the lead for good.

AIC netminder Ed Carson made 26 saves in net, while Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Andy Cote (Middleton, Mass./Masconomet) made 22 stops for the Ravens.

Franklin Pierce (0-13, 0-9 NE-10) returns to action on Saturday, when it plays its final Northeast-10 Conference regular season game of the year against #2 Le Moyne in a League matchup at Winchendon School at 11 a.m.
