HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Scoring got started early in the first three minutes of the period. After the initial shot from Josh Kippenhan (Hibbing, Minn.), the rebound chance fell to Nicholas Tessier (Burnsville, Minn.), who used the backhand shot and put it in the back of the net, giving the Ravens the early lead 1-0.

  • Scoring would be on pause until the 5:57 mark in the second period when Ryan Mosher of the Eagles was able to capitalize on the Raven turnover in their end and net the game's second goal tying it up at 1-1.

  • After killing a 5 on 3 penalty, Devin Rohrich (Pittsburgh, PA) left the sin bin and stayed on the ice and received the puck from Matt Horan (Methuen, Mass.) and with a break away opportunity he wristed it into the net giving the lead back to the Ravens 2-1.

  •  The Eagles wouldn't go away however, as 4 minutes later it was Ryan Mosher again was able to break away and use the backhand to score and tie the game up once again at 2-2.

  • The Eagles would make a statement to open the third period when Tanner Glasrud on the power play was able to wrist on in the slot and give the Eagles their first lead of the game 3-2.

  • The Eagles would again strike a minute later when Tommy Buis would push the puck off of Raven goaltender Max Banoun (Alpine, N.J.) on the red line to extend the Eagle lead 4-2.

  • After the Eagles were penalized for a five-minute major, the Ravens took advantage of it. At the 6:27 mark, Horan took a wrist shot that was deflected in the net off the stick of Trevor Lawler (East Bridgewater, Mass.) that pulled the Ravens within one goal 4-3.

  • Then no less than a minute later, with the Ravens on a 5 on 3 advantage this time the puck came to Douglas McGuire (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) who powered one past the Eagle goaltender Benjamin Cunneen tying the game 4-4.

  • Then in the final 10 seconds of the game, John Sterling (Centreville, VA) was able to find the loose puck and put it in the net with 7.6 seconds left in regulation and secure the comeback win for the Ravens 5-4.
