HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Alfred Rotiroti opened the scoring for the Raiders in the 1st period with a snapshot from the middle of the ice off a pass from Jack Tos, giving them a 1-0 lead 5:30 into the 1st period.

  • The Ravens were able to tie things up at 1-1 14:59 into the 2nd period. Matt Horan (Methuen, Mass.) scored a miraculous goal while being held by Avery Arnold of the Raiders and was able to sneak it past Raiders netminder Will Augustine to even the score.

  • The Raiders regained the lead with 2:50 left in the 2nd period. Damon Kiyawasew dished a pass to Tyler Sitnikov, who buried a shot past Jeremy Connor (Hazlet, NJ) to give the Raiders the 2-1 lead.

  • The Raiders extended their lead 6:06 into the 3rd period. Liam Hennessy tucked home a rebound after the initial shot by Damon Kiyawasew to give the Raiders a 3-1 lead.

  • The Ravens would respond late in the 3rd period to pull within a goal. Declan House (Roselle Park, NJ) dished an outlet pass to Payton Jones (Austin, Texas), who sniped a shot from the right circle for his first career goal as a Raven.

  • The Ravens effort at a comeback would be short-lived, with Carter Poulin icing the game with an empty netter to give the Raiders the 4-2 road victory.
