McGuckin McGuckin is the first goalie in program history to land on the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 23, 2015) – Freshman goaltender Tom McGuckin (Clayton, N.J.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's ice hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced on Friday by the Conference office. He was one of eight freshmen from across the league to receive the honor.

It is the second straight season a Raven has been named to the All-Rookie Team, as Aaron Blaker and Brett Oldaker were honored a year ago.

McGuckin logged 30.9% of the team's minutes in net this season, splitting time with fellow freshman Étienne Roy and junior Kyle Moran. In all, McGuckin was in net for 441:42, during which he posted a 4.35 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage. He appeared in nine games, including eight starts, made 261 saves against 293 shots and allowed 32 goals on the way to a 1-6-0 record.

McGuckin's collegiate debut came in relief of Moran on Nov. 25 against Westfield State. He stopped all 11 shots he faced over the final 17:55. His first career win came in his first career start, when he made 29 saves against 31 shots on Dec. 2 at Southern New Hampshire. McGuckin's highest save total of the season came on Dec. 5 at Salve Regina, when he piled up 53 saves against 57 shots in a losing effort.

Franklin Pierce finished the 2014-15 campaign at 3-20-1 (2-8-1 Northeast-10).
