SUNY Geneseo wasted no time jumping on the scoreboard, as senior forward Michael Forgione opened the scoring at the 1:42 mark of the first period with his first goal of the season on assists from sophomore defenseman Blake O'Connor and Manley. The Knights made it 2-0 at the 6:35 mark with a power-play tally from junior defenseman Jake Yard, who netted his fourth goal of the season.
