the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year,
must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 (out of
4.00) and must have competed in at least one-half of his
team’s contests during the season. Goaltenders were required
to play at least one-third of their team’s minutes between
the pipes.
Carroll has put together a 3.46 grade-point average in two years as
a mass communications major in Rindge. This season, the blue-liner
played in all 25 games for the Ravens, collected two assists and
tallied 30 penalty minutes. An assist against Assumption on Nov. 14
was the first point of his collegiate career.
LaBreck has chalked up a 3.85 grade-point average as a political
science major. His 17 assists this year are the second-most in a
single season in program history and his 26 points ties for
second-most as well. A Second-Team All-Northeast-10 Conference
selection, LaBreck finished fourth in the NE-10 with his 17 assists
and added nine goals to total 26 points while playing in all 25
games. He will enter his senior season seventh in program history
in goals (21), eighth in points (48) and ninth in assists (27).
LaBreck was also named to the ECAC Northeast All-Academic Team as a
sophomore last season.
Murphy possesses a 3.24 grade-point average as a criminal justice
major. While playing in all 25 games for the Ravens, he finished
third on the team in goals (8) and points (17). Murphy also
contributed nine assists, three power-play goals, a game-winning
goal and tallied 20 penalty minutes. He tallied his first career
hat trick with three goals against Becker on Jan. 24 and was
selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll three
times during the season.
Phil LaBreck has been named to the ECAC Northeast Conference
All-Academic Team for the second year in a row.

season for Franklin Pierce and finished with eight points on a

minutes. Perretta was also named to the ECAC Northeast All-Academic
Team last year as a sophomore.
Woodring leads the way for Franklin Pierce in the classroom with a
3.91 grade-point average as a biology major. He appeared in 24
games this season, scored five times, including once on the power
play, and added five assists to tally 10 points. In November, he
was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll after a
three-point outing against Assumption on Nov. 14. Only halfway
through his collegiate career, Murphy ranks 10th in program history
with eight career power-play goals.
Schneider has recorded a 3.68 grade-point average as a biology
major. In 17 games for the Ravens this season, he collected nine
points on six goals and three assists. Schneider scored twice on
the power play, piled up 61 penalty minutes and was once named to
the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll. He finished his
career sixth on Franklin Pierce’s all-time list with 22
goals. Schneider was named to the ECAC Northeast All-Academic Team
as a junior last season and as a sophomore in 2006-07.
Franklin Pierce concluded its season with a 5-18-2 record, which
included a 2-3-0 mark in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Ravens
collected the third seed in the Northeast-10 Conference
Championships and hosted a postseason game for the first time in
program history.
