Bio

 2007-08: Appeared in 22 games as a sophomore, scoring four goals and chipping in three assists for seven points. Picked up his first collegiate point with an assist on Joe McCarthy's tally against Wentworth (11/17). Scored his first career goal in a loss to Southern New Hampshire (1/12), then scored for the second straight game against Western New England (1/16).

2006-07: Appeared in seven games for the Ravens without recording a point.

Jay Stempniak Previous College: Attended Johnson & Wales University for one year, playing on the men's ice hockey team during the 2005-06 season. Played in 11 games for the Wildcats.

Before Franklin Pierce: 2003 graduate of Saint Francis High School. Two-year member of the varsity hockey team. Served as team captain while earning Most Valuable Player honors as a freshman.

Born June 20, 1985, in Buffalo, N.Y. Son of Laurence and Carla Stempniak of West Seneca, N.Y. Has a brother, Lee (24), who was a two-time All-American at Dartmouth College and currently plays for the Saint Louis Blues in the National Hockey League. Supports the St. Louis Blues and Raffi Torres of the Edmonton Oilers. Majoring in criminal justice.
