Men’s Golf places sixth after day one of Division II Challenge

QUECHEE, Vt. (September 25, 2015) – Senior Travis Landry (Loudon, N.H.) put up the best overall score for the Franklin Pierce University Ravens Men's Golf team, as they sit sixth overall in the 11 team field at the Division II Challenge held at the Quechee Club Highlands Course.

Landry's score of 76 (+4) put him in a tie for fourth in the tournament, only two shots off the lead currently held by John Clare of LeMoyne and Malcolm Oliver from Bentley. Senior Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) was the next closest Raven to the top of board, shooting an 80 (+8), putting him in a tie for 20th. Not far behind in a tie for 34th is sophomore Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.), who came in the clubhouse with an 84 (+12), while senior Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) shot an 86 (+14) also. Rounding out the Ravens participation was freshman Taylor Morang (Winthrop, Maine) who shot an 86 (+14) as well along with Auclair in his collegiate debut.

Atop the team leaderboard is both LeMoyne and Southern New Hampshire, who each share a score of 310 (+22), ahead of Dowling and Bentley in third and fourth.

Franklin Pierce will go into action again tomorrow, Saturday, September 26 for day two of the Division II Challenge.
